In addition to studying together in regular Bible classes and participating in our worship services (young men are encouraged to lead), our young people are involved in regular devotionals, study sessions, and entertainment provided by their parents and other members of the congregation.
In January of each year, Southwest hosts a weekend Winter Youth Retreat (Grades 6-12) at various Central Texas locations. We also participate in Lads-to-Leaders each spring, held in the Dallas area.
Children (and adults) are provided with a theme each year centered on God’s word. Lads-to-Leaders is a year-long program designed to reward and motivate children in all facets of their Christian life.

During the month of June, our young people are afforded the opportunity to spend a week at camp (Grades 3-12) where they receive quality Bible teaching, build lasting friendships, and have fun!
We have weekly devotionals and fun fellowship opportunities for our young people all summer, and go on a weeklong mission trip with the REACH youth group, affording them one of many opportunities to serve.
